friday faves

This week I'm sharing a few of my favorite finds of 2012.

Let me start with the disclaimer that I am never the first by whom the new is tried.  I barely get under the wire of being the last to get a thing.  So when I tell you how much I love my Keurig that I got in August, and you are thinking, "That is so 2010!" (or 9 or 8 or whenever), I'm okay with that.  Just know that if you already have a Cricut and the latest iPad, this post is probably not going to send you on any new shopping spree.  But if you are a bit behind the times like me, maybe you'll find a good Christmas gift idea...

My favorite things of 2012:

1)  Rodan & Fields Reverse Regimen
I have so many brown spots caused by sun damage and hormones.  This is the first product that is actually REVERSING the pigmentation.  My skin looks and feels amazing!  If I did not have a job promoting my children's school which I so heartily believe in, I would already be selling this stuff! I'd probably make a lot more money.  And get free product.  Hmmm...
(Update: In November 2013, I decided that I would join my friend's RF team, so now the link above goes to my RF sales site.)

This was my birthday present in August.  I must confess, I had been coveting a Keurig for quite a while.  Every time I dumped a filter full of coffee grounds onto the kitchen floor, I would curse and envy.  But now I have my longed-for appliance.  I've even built a little shrine for it.

This is the baby bear of Keurigs.  We are a one-cup-a-day household.  If you brew several cups each morning or often entertain a crowd, this might not be the model for you.  We have found that when we have company, the water reservoir often takes a couple of fill-ups over the course of the meal.  But it has been quite suffiicient at meeting my daily coffee fix.  And I love all the K-cup varieties!  If you try to tell me about the new V-cup that is going to make my K-cups obsolete, I will put my fingers in my ears and hum loudly, thank you very much.  I won't even let George Clooney and Penelope Cruz draw a sideways glance from me toward the Nespresso.

I am really hard on mops.  I have tried all different kinds, but I just push so hard on the handle (because my floors are so disgusting) that I always break them.  With this steamer, I don't have to apply any pressure.  My floors get so clean, and it is so EASY!

This has been my most used Christmas present from last year.  (Yes, my husband bought me a sander for Christmas - we are so romantic.)  Honestly, I don't know how I did home projects before this little guy.  I've used a belt sander and a sheet pad sander, and they may have their applications, but they don't compare to this one.  Sure, you have to buy those little round Velcro sandpaper sheets, but it is worth it.

So, what are your favorite products of 2012?  What's on your wish list for this Christmas?
I probably won't get a smart phone till they quit making dumb ones, but I can't wait to hear about your favorite things and get some new ideas!

Ha ha! I tend to be a bit behind the times myself. And I'm proud to say that I have two of your four faves! The Keurig was one of our best investments this year, as was our Eureka mop. With our move to a home with wood and tile floors instead of rug everywhere, I knew I needed to find a really good mop. After reading a slew of reviews on Amazon, the Eureka was the clear winner. We've been really pleased with it! If only I didn't hate cleaning in general...ha ha.

So this is the part where I tell you that I actually know Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields. Like, see them all the time, live nearby, and also know their husbands and kids. They are awesome and I also LOVE their products! So happy you love them too:)
